Jen reached out to me explaining that her mom had recently mailed her wedding gown back to San Diego, and she wanted to get together to take some photos in it. After learning she lived in Little Italy, we decided there was no better place to strut around in a wedding gown then San Diego's hot-spot for restaurants and bars.
Wedding Gown: Willowby By Watters
Boy was it a hot one!! We started with a glass of sparkling Rose at Kettner Exchange to cool off. Jen posted up in suspended, industrial looking lounge chair that had a view of downtown. I quickly began to take photos, the backdrop was breathtaking. I stopped to look around, I noticed people were staring at the gorgeous bride. We had totally been in our own little world, haha! Its not everyday you see a bride at Saturday brunch.
Next on our bar hopping adventure was Ironside Fish & Oyster Bar! We were greeted at the host stand by the lovely Brittney Copeland, who excitedly allowed us to take some photos in the restaruant. Jen and I sat at the bar and ordered our favorite cocktails, the Old Ironside and The Scuba Diver. This part of the session was my favorite. Jen looked like a mermaid sitting inside the nautical themed warehouse.
Our last stop was the oh-so hip Craft and Commerce [a restaurant I used to serve at prior to the remodel]! As we walked into the brightly eclectic gastropub, bartender Rachel Clark greeted us with a big friendly smile. Miss Clark whipped up some refreshing Gin Gin Mules, as Jen and I took photos. I love the shot of her alongside the wall of old books. Reminds me of Alice and Wonderland.
