I am so excited to share Riley and Parker’s wedding with you! They had such a joyous, special day at La Quinta Resort & Club in La Quinta, CA. Both surrounded by their friends and family who you can just tell by the pictures how much fun they had.
Riley and Parker met while working at Estancia, a hotel in San Diego. They had signed up for a half marathon together, ran it, and were inseparable ever since. Riley and Parker’s wedding wasn’t just fun to shoot because of the amazing disco and floral decor, but because they seriously made everyone feel like family.
It’s clear to see how much love and support Riley and Parker have from their loved ones. They are both fun-loving with the most contagious energy! Which is probably why they each had 13 people in their wedding parties!
If I could describe their La Quinta Resort wedding in a few words it would be: Disco in the Desert! There were disco balls everywhere, even on the bride’s dress. This blog couldn’t be written without talking about their incredible floral arrangements… ’cause WOW! They were the most colorful floral installations I have ever seen by Layered Vintage.
One of the installations was above one of their outdoor reception tables and was filled with hanging disco balls and flowers! Everywhere you looked at this wedding there were beautiful floral arrangements and displays.
Another thing that I can’t help but mention are the lilac colored bridesmaid dresses by Lead Designer / friend of the bride Rebecca Bunker with We Are Hah! I love mix-matched bridesmaids dresses and they nailed it. They were all so fun with tulle, ruffles, lace, and everything in between with these custom made dresses. Instead of heels, the bride and bridesmaids all wore white tennis shoes.
Not only was there incredible attention to detail with the bridesmaid dresses, but also with their decor and entertainment. A very on-brand touch for Riley and Parker was not only getting married at a hotel, like the one they met at, but their “check in for a good time” seating chart. All planned and designed by the amazing Aubrey Huffmann with Details, Darling!
If there’s one thing about this couple, it’s that they really do know how to throw a party! You can see exactly how their sense of fun and love was displayed in their wedding design. They had a VW photo booth bus [MaliBooth], a cotton candy machine [BonPuf], a rosé cart, and every color under the sun!
I was so honored to be able to shoot Riley and Parker’s wedding, and I hope you enjoyed seeing their special day. I had such a great time shooting for them.
