Amanda & Daniel’s wedding at the Sandbox Venue was moody, modern and lots of fun! The day began with getting ready shots at the classy Pendry Hotel here in Downtown San Diego. I love the sophisticated, yet edgy vibe of this space. It’s a perfect spot for unique and creative portraits.
Afterwards, the newly weds made their way to the venue where they had an intimate and emotional first look. Daniel could hardly hold back the tears when he saw his beautiful bride for the first time. It was one of the sweetest moments I have ever documented. The two were beaming with joy. Those shots are definitely my favorite from the day.
As the final guests made their way in, the ceremony began. The couple exchanged vows under a sparkly disco ball and to the left was a giant marquee sign that spelled LOVE [made by Big AZ Letters]. Glowing candles lit the aisle as the couple shared their first kiss as man and wife. (Shout out to Jaque Ray Ford and her team for the stunning wedding design and flower arrangements.)
After some heartfelt toasts, everyone headed to the parking lot to enjoy some fresh burgers and fries from the Habit Food Truck. (HANDS DOWN THE BEST MEAL I HAVE EVER HAD AT A WEDDING!) The rest of the evening was filled with sparkling cocktails, good tunes and lots of love for the new Mr. & Mrs.
