A Modern, Groovy Editorial Photoshoot with REVOLVE & Content Creator Sherilyn Rue

I took to the streets of Oceanside with Sherilyn Rue to capture some groovy looks for Revolve. This place has been touched by sixties and seventies, with such a unique vintage look, as if time has stood still in the coastal city. It was the perfect location for a chic and funky editorial photoshoot.

The pieces Sherilyn wears, and how I styled her poses and the shots, are a modern take on the fashion and vibe of the seventies. Her bellbottoms and turtlenecks give us cool and casual, while her heeled boots, platforms and the streamer shots are fun and disco-y. We also see preppy with the white tennis skirt and yellow polka dot blouse and shorts combo. And sprinkled in is some psychedelia with the orange sunnies, vibrant bougainvillea, and nostalgic blur we captured. It was everything about this era that is timeless and memorable, while still staying fresh and present.
