I am obsessed with this Bright & Sunny Carlsbad Beach Engagement Session. It's giving me beachy van life livin' aesthetics. Kristin & Jon live in Carlsbad and are planning for their wedding to take place in Carlsbad. So, of course, we had to shoot their engagement session in Carlsbad. I so enjoyed shooting this this sweet and comfy hometown session. It was extra special, as every piece of it was about paying homage to their relationship and the roots they’ve planted together.

We started at their airy, bright, and cozy home with their two pups, which set the mood for this natural and effortlessly sweet shoot. We then made our way around their seaside neighborhood in Carlsbad Village, where coastal flora framed the couple stealing kisses and strolling along.

The light this day was so warm and sparkly, and casually radiant. I am especially taken with the candid embraces, where you can see something in between playfulness and passion. Behind each frame is happy contentment and beautiful sentiment.

Finally, we took their van to the spot where Jon proposed to capture some fun moments, showing more of what they share and cherish as a couple. We ended at golden hour with classic, romantic, and flirty shots along the water of Carlsbad State Beach.
