A Dreamy, Open Field Engagement Session - San Diego, CA - Edna & Ryan

Edna and Ryan's golden hour engagement session was set on a dreamy open field at the Los Penasquitos Canyon Trail. Our familiar, yet always awe-inspiring, golden hour provided this shoot with gorgeous juxtaposition and harmonious contrast. The light, the energy, and the stylish vibes from this session are my favorite. I love all the creamy, neutral tones and the way the couple mixed it up with a casual to formal look.

Our setting was perfect. There really is just something about an open field. No matter the location, trees, flowers, or grass, it’s romantic and story-like. Where a beautiful couple can write a chapter in their own genre – Ryan and Edna’s being cool and fun, cozy and glam.

We started in a little shady cove with the sun coyly peeking through trees at the affectionate couple. We decided to do some picnic style shots here, which came out so warm and intimate. Our next shots with the lush cotton bushes and orange flower trees as the background for the classy and laid-back in love couple gave the sweetest earthy vibe.

The formal looks were epic and playful. It looks as if Edna and Ryan ran away to get married right then and there. Both looking completely stunning as the field was flooded with incredible light. We finished off with these loving, tender, and celebratory moments.
