A Golden Hour Beach Engagement Session - San Diego, CA - Kelsey & Kevin

When I think of a dreamy, orange coastal sunset, I think of Kelsey & Kevin's Golden Hour Engagement session at Moonlight Beach. The deep red and orange rays in each photo feel so magical. I am obsessed over the light and glowy tones.

I love the perfect juxtaposition of street style and beach-y views in this session. The scenery is casual and cool, gorgeous yet unassuming, and beautifully reflective of this couple. We arrived to the beach just in time for the sunset to play with us, and weave in and out of the photos in the most perfect ways. The empty beach created a stunning and ethereal canvas on which to paint this little chapter of Kevin and Kelsey’s story. What we were able to capture together feels nostalgic and film-like.

The couple’s proposal was planned to happen in Italy, but with COVID, that unfortunately couldn't happen. Instead, he planned a romantic trip to Santa Barbara with a surprise picnic and popped the question, and it was just as special.

I cannot wait to photograph their intimate desert wedding  at the Lautner Campground later this year.
