A Romantic Paris Cafe & Skatepark Engagement Session - PARIS, FRANCE - ASHGABES PHOTOGRAPHY

I know you all want to continue to live vicariously through this Paris engagement shoot, so let’s take another trip, shall we?

There is nothing more quintessentially Parisian than a café, and for part two of Melissa & Senate's Paris Engagement Session, we shot at their favorite café, Les Deux Magots. This location is so much more than the picturesque corner eatery you see here. This was the special place they went to after Senate proposed on their first trip to the city to celebrate and commemorate their love. I love that they wanted to recreate this moment and capture it on film to cherish forever.

When I tell you this place is as delicious as it is charming, I mean it! The two exchanged amorous looks over a table full of warm croissants, cappuccinos, fresh fruit, creamy eggs and orange juice. This exquisite spread juxtaposed with the cafe's signature green and yellow theme was striking yet understated, eclectic yet harmonious.

This part of the session felt like something straight out of Casablanca. Senate and Melissa had such a romantic effortlessness to them as they sipped coffee, smoked, and strolled along the dreamy city streets from one café to the next.

Here’s the sweetest and coolest fun fact about this duo: everywhere they travel, Senate brings his skateboard. They’ll scout out a skatepark for Senate to skate, and Melissa will film him. We went to a skate park with a massive and beautiful staircase and artful, old statues called Tokyo De Pais.

Senate skated off that staircase, which was a lot bigger in person, and I was quite impressed. And Melissa knew exactly what she was doing with that camera as she captured his jumps and tricks. They made such a great team.

This couple was so intentional about making each scene of their Paris engagement session personal, unique, and memorable by creating authentic moments so true to who they are as a couple and to each other.
