A BALBOA PARK EDITORIAL ENGAGEMENT SESSION - CLAIRE & LAURENCE

When the vibe is: Vintage + Editorial + Playful. This editorial style engagement session at Balboa Park is one you don’t want to miss. As a creative, I love mixing two different locations in one engagement session, intertwining contrasting aesthetics into one gorgeous photographic tapestry.

We started with moody and vintage at Polite Provisions. The 1920s feel and decor, with the wood paneling, gold accents, antique frames and sconces, was a romantic and ornate backdrop for Claire and Lawrence.

From there, we transitioned to a more playful and editorial mood at Balboa Park. If you know my work, you know I love movement - walking, twirling, dancing, swaying, all of it. Movement is natural, flirtatious, embodied. And this makes for genuine, authentic, and relaxed photos. The park, a mix of Mediterranean and Spanish Colonial Revival style,  and its walkways were perfect to capture these sweet, moving moments with the couple.

Claire and Lawrence both wore all black, the perfect compliment to the gilded backgrounds and colors of the scenery. Their fits tied in the chic, fashion-forward vibes, but still kept things playfully casual and candid.
