A Modern, Coastal Wedding At The Ritz Carlton Bacara - Amy & Matt

One of my favorite weddings in 2023, was Amy & Matt’s modern, coastal Santa Barbara wedding at the Ritz Carlton Bacara!

A + M had an elegant celebration with the inspiration being California Coastal with European Flare. Fawn Events outdid themselves with this design! All the decor and dress was simple and classy, yet so luxurious and stylish. The wedding party were in black and white fare, the florals were ivory, and the adorning greenery was the perfect accent. In the venue, there were corners and staircases, gilded columns and fountains where we were able to capture all the grand romance of the day.

Amy & Matt sourced mud vases from Still Interiors for the floral installation at the end of their aisle. Along with the parasols, wooden chairs, and cliffside views, the European vibe was truly achieved. Something about the ocean adjacent to forestry and plant life is so magical, and this ceremony and golden hour was just that.

The couple knew they wanted to make the terrace of their Ritz Carlton wedding the star of the show with the romantic pendant lighting and greenery for a dreamy reception. Their guests laughing and eating together amongst the candlelit dinner gave the sweetest, joy-filled photos.

The most fun, sparkly moments of the night were Amy’s dress, a Pronovias Constellation Gown, and the disco balls scattered around. They also did an espresso martini tower pour before kicking off the dancing, and had a silent disco that started around 10 so they could keep the party going past the noise ordinance, with an outfit change for Amy. Moments like these are the candid, storytelling memories I love to capture. They will never forget the time they had and shared with all of their people, and to be a part of that is why I do what I do.
