This Couple Had A Disco Backyard Pool Party Wedding

Did someone say disco backyard pool party wedding? YES I DID! For their wedding, Leah & Christy stepped away from all things traditional, and dreamed up their perfect desert wedding celebration. With just their closest friends and family, they rented a gorgeous house in Palm Springs, an always magical and wistful desert destination.

The brides hosted a Hibachi style rehearsal dinner, where they, so sweetly and adorably, donned coordinating white dresses and bohemian, psychedelic dusters. The dinner was gourmet and theatrical, and perfectly in the middle of the road of a casual, fun celebration, and a fancy event honoring their love.

The ceremony was in the morning, with the desert sun warm and gentle and glowy. The ceremony details were minimal, soft, joyful, and feminine. The floral arrangement draping over the triangle wood backdrop was so peaceful and muted, and sat so beautifully with the shiny, loud disco balls. The gals had their guests wear all white, displaying reverence toward the understated elegance of the atmosphere they created, and making for a familial, uniquely special, and intimate gathering.

In keeping with their own vision of traditional nuptials, Christy and Leah broke their wedding glass in glittery silver combat boots.

During their pool party reception, fire ball shots were had and and the brides made an outfit change into white bikinis and played with disco balls. My favorite part of their day was an impromptu first dance, where they swayed along to a song Christy wrote and sang for her bride.

The brides really created their own wedding lore with all these details and their take on a wedding ceremony and reception, and made this a celebration that will forever stand out,
